    Yes. Writing is absolutely a juggling act. You need a solid plot, paying attention to the arc of the narrative. Not to mention compelling characters who do not lie flat on the page. Then there are the subplots and how they connect to the main plot, and of course, you must prevent the middle from sagging. So much to think about!
