Lois Donovan is the author of two Canadian, historical novels, both published through Ronsdale Press. She is currently repped by Stacey Kondla at the Rights Factory, with one YA contemporary out on submission and another in the works! Fingers crossed!

Lois has lived in many places across the great country of Canada, inspiring her to write stories which feature some of its significant historical events. Winds of L’Acadie tells the plight of the Acadian people as they are deported from their homes in Nova Scotia in 1755. In The Journal, the teen protagonist finds herself working as domestic help for the great Emily Murphy as the Famous Fight are fighting the Persons Case in Edmonton, Alberta, right before the Depression.

From book clubs, to classrooms and conventions, Lois enjoys meeting readers and writers of all ages and sharing her passion for stories. Currently she is mentoring emerging writers to help them fullfil their dreams.

Lois lives in Calgary where she writes with the help of two very furry, very opinionated Shelties. She also spends time with her two-legged family.
