There is so much about the process of writing that is mysterious to me, but this one thing I’ve found to be true: writing begets writing.

Create two characters, each of whom has aspects of your personality. Put them in a car on an extensive road trip. Who is navigating and who is driving? Write a scene from one of your adventures.
